Easter harvest continues...
First duck eggs (found another in the orchard!) and now Kashmir underfluff. I'm sure there is a more technical term for the super-fine undercoat the Kashmir goats are shedding. We've found the dog shedding blade-comb-thingy to be extremely effective in teasing out the loose undercoat. This year the harvest is much better than last. Next on the list of equipment to acquire is a spinning wheel... not long after that, socks!
I'm a critter-loving author so chronically messy and easily distracted that I sometimes wonder how I ever get anything done! I love being outside, enjoy gardening (though I don't have enough hours in the day at the moment to do much more than cut the grass occasionally), and could spend my whole life playing with my horses. Since that isn't practical, I make my living as a writer, probably about the best and the worst job in the world.
